six and the best- Ptrice Evra

six and the best !!!

Patrice Evra dreams of emulating Chelsea and defying the odds to lift the Champions League.
Manchester United are sitting a lowly sixth in the Premier League after a disastrous attempt to retain their title under new manager David Moyes. But that was also the Blues position in 2012 when Roberto Di Mtteo`s side amazingly went to be European champions for the first time.
and Evra admits Chelsea`s shock triumph over Bayern Munich is on his mind ahead of Manchester United`s quarter final second leg clash against the same opponents who they are level after a 1-1 home draw. The French man said: "it is funny because all season has reminded me of the Chelsea season when they wasn't playing well in the league. " I kept this in my mind I am not saying we are going to do the same thing but sometimes you have to be positive. so why not try?
" You have to believe and to be honest this season we have not played so bad in the Champions League. " We are confident and it look like we all are up for it more in the league than in the cup.
" I know it is not professional to say that but it is the truth. "We look more on it, we look more like we have the Manchester United spirit when we play in the Champions League."
The left-back Evra missed the first leg due to a suspension but will be returning at the Allianz Arena this Wednesday though Wayne Rooney is still a doubt with a bruised toe.

Juan Mata can not wait to link up with Wayne Rooney

Rooney, 28, is now in talks with United to extend his current deal.
Spain forward Mata, 25, said: "For me, he's one of the best players in the history of this country. He's an unbelievable player. "Mata, who has signed a contract understood to run until summer 2018, could line up alongside Rooney for Tuesday's Premier League game at home to Cardiff City."He's a striker who can score, assist and come into midfield to take the ball," added Mata of the England international. "I will try to connect with him as much as possible and find the gaps in rival defences. I think that's my best style of play, to get into positions where I can assist the strikers."Mata, who will wear the number eight shirt, also said United's never-say-die attitude meant they could still retain their league title. "What I like most about this club is the character," said Mata, who was twice Chelsea's player of the year. "I think if another club were in this position in the league, it would be very difficult to come back and take first position, but this club can do it. "This is the real image I have from Manchester United, always fighting to win titles, always coming back from difficult moments. "The former Valencia player scored 32 goals for the Blues and made more than 130 appearances but had failed to command a regular starting place under Jose Mourinho, who returned to Chelsea last summer for a second spell as manager. Mata, capped 32 times by World and European champions Spain, admitted moving to Old Trafford was "really important" to his hopes of making his country's World Cup squad. Manchester United boss David Moyes said he was surprised the club was able to sign a player of Mata's calibre during the January transfer window. "I am thrilled," said Moyes, whose team are seventh in the Premier League, 14 points adrift of leaders Arsenal. "I got wind a month or two ago it could be possible, but I never thought we could pull it off."When we got the sniff there was a chance Juan could be available we went after it right away. There will be more players like Juan in the future. I've no doubts about that."

Wayne Rooney and Robin Van Persie are ready to rescue Moyes's season

Robin Van Persie says he cannot wait to renew his strike partnership with Wayne Rooney. Boss David Moyes admitted last week how much Manchester United have missed the injured duo. Moyes hopes both strikers are back at the end of the month and the stats underline how they could still save Manchester united's faltering season. RVP and Wayne Rooney have just started 7 league games together this term when Manchester United recorded five wins and two draws. RVP has been out since early December with a thigh injury said "we realise that we are stronger when we play as a duo "with a player of Rooney's calibre, we can go strength to strength and become even better. "One game  he will score a couple then the next game I will score a couple it is important that this partnership keeps getting stronger

Rio Ferdinand has begged Cristiano Ronaldo to Re-Join Manchester United last summer, Manchester United looked at Re-signing the Real Madrid superstar four years after selling him for £80million. Ronaldo scored 69 goals for club and country in 2013. Ferdinand said: "We had a debate about it in training. I think he has been the best in the Callander year definitely. "He's scored more goals than some clubs have everyone agreed he is the best player in the world at the moment definitely.
